Wiggum
While we in the early stages of setting up CDL, we created a zine, all inhouse written and designed. It was created to fill the void with a voice of the local youth and to document the awesome and interesting individuals that lived in the area.
The zines name was derived from a certain TV characters personality which was stated as being “every day things seemed magical to him” which fitted our random content perfectly.
Wiggum’s format was A6 that folded out to an A3 with a poster on the back. The aim was to fill it with letters, photos, articles, rants, reviews, gig guide, interviews, nonsense and shananagans. We definately succeeded, it was free, completely DIY, it’s life lasted for years, and we had a blast doing it.
